Instructions for preparing a plot file for us
to print:
1.
Go the the Hewlett-Packard
website and download the appropriate plotter driver for your
computer system.
2. Install the
plotter driver on your computer. Install it to an LPT port
(i.e.: lpt1).
3. Open the
document you wish to print.
4. Select
"Print Setup".
5. Choose the
plotter you just installed as the printer.
6. Under
"Properties" choose the size you wish to print. You may click
"Options" to choose other paper sizes.
"Architectural" is the most commonly used paper-size format.
You may also enter a custom paper size. One dimension of the paper size CANNOT exceed 36 inches.
The other dimension is virtually limitless. Keep in mind that the
plotter cannot print to the edge of the paper. a minimum of a 0.7 inch
border is recommended to make sure all your graphics print.
7. Set the paper
orientation either to "Portrait" or "Landscape". And
don't forget to set the paper source to "36 inch roll".
8. At the
"Print" window, select "Print to File". You will be
prompted to save your plot file. Save it where ever you wish.
9. Email this file to us as an
attachment. (If the plot file is over 1 megabyte in size, please zip it
if you've got WinZip or PKZip.) Be sure to include the number of
copies, paper type, your name, address, and telephone number. As soon
as we contact you to verify this information, we will begin plotting
your work!
