As we enter our eighth year as a
GIS service provider, we are thankful for our loyal customers who are
our reason for being here, and for our talented staff who keep us

As technology advances and population
grows the need for spatial management tools and the development of
geospatial datasets also continues to grow at a similar rate. There
hasn’t been a week in the last year that we haven’t taken
a request for a new application of GIS or geo-data. Because of this,
Murphy’s World GIS has added some new services and solutions to
assist our current and future clients in meeting their needs. We have
set standard pricing for Geo-coding to meet the needs of our utility
clients who are switching to or have already implemented electronic
metering. Whether you need database to database geo-coding or

we are now providing a complimentary Internet Map site for each of
our clients to monitor their GIS project as it progresses. If you

Detection Services Inc. are the modern day version of rhabdomancer;
however, their tools are much more accurate and effective than the
old 'Y" shaped divining rod of yesteryear. With highly accurate
Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment and the state-of-the-art
acoustic equipment that Godfrey utilizes to find subsurface leaks,
they are able to detect and locate the smallest of leaks and
other sources of water loss for water systems anywhere in the world.
Once the field detection and location work is completed, it is imported
into the Geographic Information System (GIS) for display and
analysis.

website has been designed & launched by Murphy's World GIS for
the Aransas County GIS Initiative in Rockport, Texas. The new site is driven
by ArcIMS and currently serves out Aransas County Appraisal Data,
City of Rockport Zoning Data, and 2002 Aerial
Photography. This site is still in the development stage, however,

Another such organization is the Department of Geography at Texas State University. The department provides
students who have the background and basic GIS skills to assist on
projects as entry level GIS technicians.

opportunity for each student to experience GIS in the ‘real
world,’ for their own professional growth.
This mutual relationship with the University means that we can
